Program Overview
This program is specifically designed to provide professionals in psychology, education, child care, speech and language disorders, or counseling and human services with a mastery of therapy methods and treatments for adults and children with autism and related developmental disorders.
- The ABA master's is a 36-credit hour program and is 100% remote online.
- Completion time for full-time students is two years, but it may be extended to three years for part-time students.
- Our ABA curriculum offers a well-rounded, immersive learning experience. Students are actively engaged through the combination of case studies, research reviews, recorded lectures and weekly synchronous meetings.

- Program faculty include Ph.D.-level Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA-D) with extensive experience in clinical services, education, and research across various client populations.

The Association for Behavior Analysis International (ABAI) has verified that the program's core courses meet the coursework requirement for eligibility to take the Board Certified Behavior Analyst® examination.
- On January 1, 2026, the ABAI’s Pathway 2 Verified Course Sequence (VCS) system will be discontinued and replaced by the BACB-managed Pathway 2 Coursework Attestation System. Our program meets the behavior-analytic coursework requirements for those pursuing the BCBA pathway 2 eligibility route. The University of Scranton is working to obtain recognition under ABAI's Tiered model as 2a: Recognized Degree Program with Experiential Learning.
