Employer Tuition Reimbursement
Many employers have tuition reimbursement programs in place to help employees continue their education and reach their full potential. When you earn an advanced degree, you can become a greater asset to your organization, putting your new skills to work and assuming new responsibilities.
Employers value those who are committed to the success of the company. If your employer doesn’t already have a tuition reimbursement program, the benefits listed below may help convince them.
4 Ways an Advanced Degree Benefits You and Your Employer
1. You’ll Bring Expert Leadership to Your Workplace
After completing your graduate program, you can implement your enhanced leadership skills in your daily professional life. You’ll elevate not just yourself, but your teammates, as well.
2. You Can Take on New Responsibilities
You’ll put your education to work right away with the ability to take on new tasks and roles in your workplace. Your employer’s investment in your education is also an investment in the company’s future.
3. You Can Study Without Leaving Your Job
Concerns may be raised about your studies taking you away from your job. Not to worry — your graduate program can be completed on your own schedule (on campus or online), so that you can receive your degree while continuing to excel in your professional capacity.
4. You’ll Help Your Workplace Save Money
By supporting you in pursuing your graduate degree or certification, your employer will save money, as tuition costs typically fall well below the cost of interviewing, hiring and training someone else. The IRS also allows companies to write off tuition reimbursement for employees.
