Nationally-Ranked MHA Program

Our CAHME-accredited MHA program is specifically designed to help you prepare for administrative positions in a variety of health-related organizations, including hospitals and ambulatory care settings, physician group practices, social service agencies, long-term care facilities, managed care plans, and rehabilitation centers.

Fall 2026 applications are open!
Apply by July 15 to start the on-campus MHA program in Fall 2026.
Other health administration programs outside of the on-campus MHA can have multiple start terms throughout the year.
Check with the graduate admissions team for other program-specific deadlines.

Program Overview

The 46 credit-hour (including required fieldwork) MHA program challenges students to use and apply many healthcare management tools, principles, methods, and strategies in a stimulating and highly interactive learning environment. You can choose between four specializations: Global Health, Health Informatics (online only), Population Health Management (on-campus only), and Post-Acute Care.

Guided by expert faculty, you’ll prepare to make a difference for your organization’s patients and advance to senior management roles and other healthcare staff positions.

Our MHA program received the CAHME Award for Sustainability in Healthcare Management Education and Practice.

Career Outlook

Healthcare is one of the fastest-growing employment sectors in the nation, and organizations urgently need managers and leaders.

Positions for medical and health services managers are projected to grow by 29% from 2023 to 2033, which is much faster than the national average.

The median annual salary for medical and healthcare managers was $117,960 in 2024, and the top 10% of these administrators earned more than $219,080.
