You’ll not only graduate with the skills and credentials to seek top positions in your field — you’ll save time and reduce the workload by 13–18 credits compared to taking the degrees separately.
You’ll gain all the skills you need to help an organization navigate the ever-evolving landscape of healthcare, as well as successfully implement sustainable approaches to business development and organizational excellence.
Both programs are accredited individually — the MBA by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) and the MHA by the Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education (CAHME) — so you can be sure your education is among the best offered.
Note: The MBA-MHA dual program does not have a specific programmatic accreditation.
Career Outlook: Growing Demand and Rewarding Salaries
In a 2021 study by the Graduate Management Admission Council, nine out of 10 corporate recruiters said that they expect the demand for business school graduates to increase or remain stable in the next five years.1 Those with healthcare expertise from the University of Scranton’s dual MBA-MHA will be in especially high demand.
In fact, career growth for medical and health services managers is expected to grow much faster than average, by 28% from 2022 to 2032. These professionals also earned a high median salary in 2023 at $110,680. Career OutlookCurriculum: Coursework Rooted in Excellence
Gain dual master’s degrees — both your MBA and MHA — in less time than it would take to earn them separately.
The AACSB-accredited MBA focuses on business concepts such as the Triple Bottom Line theory, which considers social, fiscal and environmental impacts on sustainable business development.
The CAHME-accredited MHA focuses on the unique considerations of the healthcare industry, such as regulatory, quality and technology needs.
Additionally, the MBA-MHA coursework is consistent with the Healthcare Leadership Alliance’s (HLA) competency model, offering outcomes in leadership, business, management and more.
Note: The MBA-MHA dual program does not have a specific programmatic accreditation.
