The average program duration is 21 months of full-time study, although a part-time option is available. Students complete nine credits in the first fall semester of the program, eight credits in the first spring semester, three credits in the only summer semester, eight credits in the second fall semester and eight credits in the second spring semester. Courses emphasize the use of clinical decision-making and diagnostic reasoning. With a focus that spans the entire life span, graduates are prepared to provide direct patient care to individuals of all ages.
Four practicum courses of seven total credits makeup the clinical requirements of the program. Each credit of clinical equals 125 hours per semester with a total program clinical time of 875 hours.
