Special Education, MS: Curriculum

Overview

36 TOTAL CREDITS REQUIRED

The average program duration is three semesters (fall - spring - fall) including a semester of student teaching. Students in the MS in Special Education complete three hours of educational research and statistics course, six hours of foundation courses and 27 hours of specialty coursework. Final coursework includes a capstone experience with student teaching.

All students who are pursuing a master's degree must complete the Research and Foundation course requirements and pass a comprehensive examination. Students are required to take certification examinations prior to program completion.
