Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling, MS: Curriculum

Overview

60 TOTAL CREDITS REQUIRED

The Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling master’s program at Scranton is offered in two flexible formats: Fully online or hybrid. You choose your format before starting the program. Both options follow the same curriculum and lead to the same degree.

Online Option: Learn from Anywhere

The Online option allows you to complete your coursework fully online (asynchronous with some evening synchronous meeting times). This format is designed for students who need flexibility while still benefiting from some real-time interaction with faculty and classmates.

Your practicum and internship will be completed at approved clinical sites in your own community, and group supervision class time will be provided via synchronous meeting.

Hybrid Option: On-campus and Online Learning

This option combines in-person on-campus classes with fully online coursework. It’s a great fit for students who live near Scranton and want the benefits of an on-campus learning experience, while still having flexibility as needed.

You will take a mix of on-campus and online courses. Your practicum will take place in our Counselor Training Center on campus, and your internship will be completed at an approved clinical site in the community.

Program Length and Structure:

Both options are 60 credits and can typically be completed in two and a half to three years. No matter which format you choose, you will receive the same high-quality education and clinical preparation.
