Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling, MS: Curriculum

Overview

60 TOTAL CREDITS REQUIRED

  • The Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling master's degree is available both Hybrid and Online.
  • Students will select their delivery option prior to beginning their program.
  • Both programs require a total of 60 credits and take 2 ½ - 3 years to complete.

The Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling - HYBRID delivery option will allow students to take on-campus courses as well as a select number of online courses. This option allows regional students to join us in our department on campus while also connecting virtually for some of the curriculum. (as noted here). The required clinical Practicum would occur in our state of the art; Counselor Training Center and Internship would occur in the community at an approved clinical site.

The Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling - ONLINE delivery option allows students the flexibility of completing the program courses online. The required clinical experiences (Practicum and Internship ) would occur in your own community in approved clinical sites.  The online program also requires 2 in-person residency components (one in the first year, and one in the second year).

Students who apply to the program are expected to have completed an Introduction to Statistics (Descriptive Statistics or Basic Inferential Statistics) as well as Introduction to Theories of Personality, Counseling or Psychotherapy and Lifespan Development (Developmental Psychology, Adulthood, Adolescence, Childhood, Growth and Development).
